The Woods School is nestled among the trees in a residential section of Lakewood Forest. Since 1984, The Woods School has provided an exemplary education for students in the Northwest Community of Houston.

Our expansive facility includes a large, multipurpose room, which is the setting for informative speakers’ presentations and performances by the children and staff. Surrounding this area are colorful classrooms with large windows giving parents the opportunity to view their children in an academic setting.

Each room at The Woods School is equipped with different interest areas, learning and play materials, computers, art centers, and individual cubbies. Seasonal and thematic literature is available in every room for individual reading or story time. Activities such as reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, following a calendar, language exercises, and music are performed in each classroom on a daily basis.

The outdoor play area contains an open area for free play and physical education, state-of-the-art equipment, and an endless array of opportunities for creativity, discovery, and socialization. The covered patio and tree-shaded picnic tables complete the outdoor learning adventure.
